An official Health Canada notice concerns Bmw. This recall was replaced by Transport Canada Recall No. 2022-364. Issue: On certain vehicles, the air bag control unit may not work properly due to a software error. As a result, the airbag warning light and warning messages may not turn on when there is a problem with the airbag system or the pedestrian protection system. Safety Risk: An airbag system that does not work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: BMW will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the airbag control unit software. To reduce the safety risk, BMW recommends that you should not transport any passengers until the recall repairs have been completed. Published 2022-10-25.
