An official Health Canada notice concerns Bmw. On certain vehicles, the rear side door lock mechanisms may have been manufactured incorrectly. As a result, child door locks may disengage if the interior rear door handle is pulled, thereby allowing a rear door to be opened with a second pull of the inside door handle. This could allow a child to open a rear door inadvertently, increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the rear door locks and replace as necessary.
