An official Health Canada notice concerns Blue bird. Issue: On certain electric school buses, hardware inside the high-voltage battery could loosen and detach. As a result, the battery could short circuit. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels and/or the high-voltage battery could overheat. Note: This recall only affects certain buses equipped with a PowerDrive 7000 electric drivetrain. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. A battery that overheats can create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Cummins will notify owners by mail and will make arrangements to repair the high-voltage battery. Published 2025-04-23.
