Critical riskHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns Bison. Certain travel trailers may fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 110 - Tire Selection and Rims. The certification label overstates the correct Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) as 7,200lbs. This could lead to premature tire failure and vehicle overloading, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Owners will be sent a revised certification label with instructions for proper placement. If owners are not comfortable installing the label themselves, they can take the label to a Bison dealer for installation. Published 2017-07-20.
