An official Health Canada notice concerns Altec industries. Issue: On certain aerial devices and digger derricks, the inverter module may not have proper circuit protection for the AC output. As a result, the wiring could overheat and melt. Safety Risk: Wiring that doesn't have proper circuit protection could create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact Altec Service to install a 20 A circuit breaker for the inverter AC output.
