An official Health Canada notice concerns Alexander dennis. Issue: On certain transit buses, the roof hatch (emergency exit) may not be able to be opened. This could prevent occupants from using this emergency exit and/or delay occupants from escaping the bus in an emergency. Note: This recall only affects buses with a double-paned roof emergency exit. Safety Risk: An emergency exit that can't be opened could slow your exit from the bus in an emergency. This could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Alexander Dennis will notify owners in writing and provide them with updated safety instruction labels and instructions for how to install a secondary release button.
