An official Health Canada notice concerns Airstream. Issue: On certain RV trailers, the sofa footrest switch may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, if the footrest switch is held down for too long, the wiring for the switch could overheat and melt. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats or melts could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Airstream advises not to use the footrest switch until the recall repairs have been completed.
