An official ACCC notice concerns Z series High Bay Luminaires. It is possible that affected capacitors could fail in a destructive manner, resulting in parts of the capacitor melting and / or smoke originating within the luminaire. Published 2010-09-22.
What to do now
Corrective Action: For affected products, Advanced Lighting will provide a lamp refurbishment pack. This provides the opportunity to replace the ageing lamp, and as the same time the capacitor without disruption of illumination. Action Required: If customers have a specified light fitting please call us on 03 9800 5600 ( on workdays from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm EST ) and have your product part number / description, order and supplier details ready. We will take your details and confirm whether you have affected capacitors and confirm corrective action.
