High riskACCC

An official ACCC notice concerns XXXX (Fourex) Branded Promotional Fridge. In fridges where the supply wire to the fan is accessible and has not been double insulated, there is a risk that, if the insulation on the supply wire is cut, is torn or (in the longer term) wears out, the wires will be exposed. This will pose a risk of electric shock to a person who comes into contact with the wires. Published 2010-11-26.

What to do now

Turn off the fridge, unplug it, and call Lion Nathan Australia Pty Ltd on 1800 462 022 between 8:30am and 5:00pm (7 days a week) to arrange collection. Consumers are NOT to attempt to move the fridge themselves. Following collection, consumers will be provided with an alternative prize of equivalent retail value.
