If the bottle tips over or is dropped, the cap could fail and the corrosive contents could splash on the user or a by-stander, causing serious eye injuries or skin burns. Young children may also be able to open the bottle and consume its contents, which are poisonous. Published 2014-04-17.

What to do now

Customers should immediately dispose of any Select Drain Cleaner 1 Litre marked with “Made in China” by following the usage directions as indicated on the label and thoroughly rinsing out the container and cap with cold water. A receipt for the product and/or rinsed out bottle can be presented to any Woolworths, Safeway, Food4Less or Flemings store for a full refund.
