An official ACCC notice concerns Schwinn Voador and Kettle Valley Electric Bicycles MY2021-2022. If the bolts falls out, this may hit the fork or frame causing the bike wheel to stop suddenly. If this occurs, the rider may lose control of the bicycle increasing the risk of an accident or serious injury. Published 2022-07-07.
What to do now
Consumers should stop riding the bike and return the product to an authorised Schwinn dealer for a replacement of all the disc rotor attachment bolts, free of charge. The dealer will place a small green sticker on the rotors to mark that the bolts have been replaced.
