An official ACCC notice concerns Savage 645C, Savage 655C and Savage 655C Hard Top Fibreglass Boats. If the fibreglass structure cracks, the hull may crack allowing water into the boat. This could cause the boat to sink, causing serious injury or death to people onboard. Published 2019-01-22.
What to do now
Customers should immediately stop using their boat and contact their nearest authorised Savage dealer for a full assessment of the hull structure. If the defect relating to hull structure is identified the hull will be returned to Telwater for further evaluation. The defect will be rectified or a replacement product offered if rectification is not possible.
