An official ACCC notice concerns Rear Propeller Shaft Coupling. As a result of the defect, the coupling may fail, which will lead to increased drivetrain vibration. In the worst case, the prop shaft can detach from the vehicle whilst in motion, resulting in a loss of drive to the rear wheels and a risk to other road users and pedestrians. Published 2012-05-07.
