An official ACCC notice concerns Promax Solve DSK 925 and Promax F1 DSK 927 hydraulic disc brakes fitted on certain model year 2021, 2022 and 2023 Trek bicycles. Risk of serious injury following loss of brake function and control while riding. Published 2023-06-30.
What to do now
Consumers should check to see if their bicycle is affected by visiting the serial number look-up tool or contacting Trek Australia. If affected, immediately stop using the bicycle and take the bicycle to a Trek retailer for inspection and, if required, repair. Affected bicycles with affected brakes will be fitted with replacement parts.
