An official ACCC notice concerns Optimus Nova, Optimus Nova+, Optimus Nova and Nova+ Pump, Optimus Nova and Nova+ Spare Parts Set Light, Optimus Repair Kit Nova and Nova+. One or more of the defects described, which result in torn or expanded O-rings, can cause fuel leakage and create a fire hazard to consumers. Published 2010-12-06.

Users of these products should stop using them immediately and visit www.optimusstoves.com/en/service/nova-recall and fill out the online form. Alternatively users can contact Outdoor Agencies Pty Ltd in Australia on 02 8717 7309 or via novarecall@outdooragencies.com.au. Katadyn Products Inc will then send through the necessary parts for replacement / repair. As the available volumes of some of the replacement parts are limited, Katadyn Products Inc cannot guarantee an immediate return. Supply of the replacement parts could take several months.
