An official ACCC notice concerns Off Road Two-Stroke Motorcycles. It may be possible for the inner cable to jump the cable wheel and be pinched between the cable wheel and the upper throttle housing. This may cause the throttle to stick in the open position, resulting in uncontrolled acceleration. Published 2013-05-09.
What to do now
Consumers should cease riding the motorcycle and return it to an authorised Husqvarna dealer for replacement of the upper throttle housing. A letter is being sent to affected owners with detailed instructions.
