An official ACCC notice concerns NetComm Model NP504 500Mbps Powerline Adapter With AC Pass-through. In some circumstances, the fault could result in an electric shock. Published 2013-12-13.
What to do now
Consumers should immediately discontinue using the product and: (i) Switch off the power at the power point (ii) Remove the Powerline adapter and any device from the socket (iii) Check whether the serial number (S/N) on the base of the adapter is from the affected batch. If the product is from the affected batch, consumers should contact NetComm Wireless to arrange for a replacement or a refund by either calling 1800 110 168, emailing recall@netcommwireless.com or following the instructions on the company’s website.
