What to do now
Consumers should check the model and production date of the brushcutter, then go to http://www.makita.com.au/recall or call Makita on 1300 361 690 between 8am and 5pm (AEST). If the model and production date is within the affected range consumers should stop using the brushcutter immediately and drain the fuel tank. Consumers should then take the product to their nearest Makita Service Centre for a replacement of the fuel tank seal & fuel lines, or contact Makita on 1300 361 690 to arrange the repair at an authorised service agent.
