An official ACCC notice concerns Kubota BX Tractors, GR Ride-On Mowers and ZD & ZG Zero Turn Mowers. Under some conditions such as overheating and if the bonnet is opened, pressure inside the radiator reservoir can build up which may cause the coolant reserve tank cap to come off and hot coolant to spray out. The hot coolant could injure the operator or bystanders. Published 2018-10-17.
What to do now
Replacement coolant reserve tank caps will be sent directly to consumers (free of charge) as parts become available, along with instructions for installation. If customers cannot wait until the replacement coolant reserve tank cap is mailed to them, they can take their existing coolant reserve tank cap to their Kubota dealer to inspect and repair (if necessary). The dealer can drill out the breather hole if needed. For further information contact your nearest Kubota dealer.
