An official ACCC notice concerns Fisher-Price® Little Snugabunny Cradle ‘n Swing and Fisher-Price® Dots & Spots Puppy Cradle n Swing (updated). There is a risk of serious injury or death from suffocation if the product is used for infant sleep and/or bedding material is added when in use. There have been reports overseas of deaths involving infants when other Snuga Swing models were used for sleep. In most of those incidents, the infants were unrestrained and bedding materials were added to the product. Published 2024-10-17.

What to do now

Consumers should immediately remove both the headrest (by cutting the tether) and the body support insert from the seat pad. Mattel will provide a full product refund to consumers who remove and return the headrest and body support insert to Mattel. Mattel will provide a pre-paid label for their return.
