An official ACCC notice concerns Chicco KeyFit Plus Infant Car Seat - Child Restraint Tether Anchor Kit. If the tether anchor bracket fails in the event of a collision, the performance of the car restraint may be impacted, increasing the risk of injury to the child. Published 2012-11-14.
What to do now
The tether anchor bracket supplied with the booster seat should be checked for the batch number stamped on it. If the batch number is "22", cease using the booster seat immediately. Contact Chicco by phone on 02 8543 5570 or email info@chicco.com.au to arrange to receive a replacement tether anchor bracket.
