What to do now
Consumers should check their cookers to see if they have an affected model, by looking at the model number and batch number and comparing these to the information on www.gascookingsafety.com . These model number and batch number are printed on the appliance rating plate, which is located on the right hand side of the oven door or cavity when the door is open or in the accessory drawer when the drawer is open. The model number is the 'E-Nr' on the plate and the batch number is 'FD' (see photograph above). Consumers should cease using any affected model immediately, shut off the gas supply to the appliance and contact BSH Home Appliances to arrange the repair of their cooker on 1300 955 742 or via www.gascookingsafety.com . BSH will organise an authorised and trained repair agent to visit the consumer's home and replace the relevant component.
