An official ACCC notice concerns BMC Timemachine 01 2017 & 2018 model years bicycles and frame sets. Contact between the tyre and the frame can pose an increased risk of the rider crashing. Published 2018-07-19.

What to do now

Owners of 2017 and 2018 model year Timemachine 01 bicycles should stop riding them and return the bike to a BMC dealer for an inspection of tyre clearance and to arrange any necessary repair work, which will be carried out free-of-charge. A newly developed fork will be available from September 2018. Owners that have returned their bikes for inspection and registered for the recall will be contacted once parts are available to organise a time for the replacement work.
