An official ACCC notice concerns Bicycle Front Suspension Forks Assorted Models. If the fixing bolt is affected by hydrogen embrittlement it may break and the fork may separate, causing a fall hazard. Published 2015-06-25.
What to do now
Consumers should stop using bicycles which incorporate fork models M3010, M3020, M3030, NEX and XCT which have serial date codes between K#141101 to K#150127 and return them to the store where they were purchased for inspection and possible repair.
